I feel like it's mostly due to its low familiarity (65.9%). I think Pop Score rewards higher familiarity so you don't need to worry about a low PS - hence why I think Pos and Net Pos are better metrics for whether the GP actually likes a song.

Weird..Roses is being played here all the time in Canada in major pop stations hmm..though.

Ugh people. How can these people be unfamiliar with it. Just turn on the radio and you'll hear it.
I've always said OOTW and WWWY are not great single choices, so i'm not really surprised with the callouts. Hands To Myself shocked me tho, i thought that radio listeners would eat it up!
There were 26 songs eligible for the chart this week, compared to 35 the week ending December 18, 2015. Take this into account when evaluating position changes -- they will be MUCH more positive than normal.

^ if we assume that Hello would be #1 had callouts been conducted for the three weeks prior to last week (because callouts traditionally resume in late January following the holidays), this week would be its 11th at the top spot.
Top 40 should really drop "Hello" a lot slower. It's still #1 in callouts at the format, and it still has strong sales and streaming numbers.
Hands to Myself still looks like it's heading to pop #1 tho
These listeners have awful taste tho. Rachel, Taylor, Camila, and Selena in the bottom tier, despite being better than all the songs above them?
The only other song charting on pop I care about is Youth. Wonder how listeners are responding.
I think the problem with Roses is that people may not recognize it by name, so when they see the question "are you familiar with the song Roses?", some people will probably say no. They should have named the song "Say You'll Never Let Me Go." I think that would have definitely helped out its streams and sales just a tad bit.
HTM is still 9,000 spins away from #1 on AS+R. Could (and will, imo) definitely fizzle out before then.

I have news from an insider source. "When We Were Young" has been scrapped completely. Columbia Records is waiting for it to die so they can start pushing third single "All I Ask" OR "Water Under the Bridge".
