I didn't say that.
I"m not even talking about rape anymore. I'm talking about partying and doing bad things in general on campus that thwart your focus, energy and drain your youth, innocence and power.
Like getting in the with wrong crowd, drugs, stds, building a reputation for being loose etc.
In high school it's one thing but in college that's alot of money and even if it's scholarship money that's money wasted if you can't manage partying and the bad stuff and still stay on top of your schooling.
Rape is never a punishment. i'd never imply that.
Girls need to be educated on the potential bad things that can happen.
I've said this time and time again that years 17-22 are going to be the most critical years in your life.
Trauma, bad decisions, redirected focus or bad shifts in your personality/spirit can literally take you out of the game of winning in life.
Whew I was strong and lucky enough to be able to party hard and still get my 4.0 gpa and I got into incidences but it took ONE good time where I knew I either have to stick with my friends that are doing bad stuff OR I have to be strong enough to walk away and risk being more independent for hte rest of the semester until i find a smarter more focused group.
I lived it and am glad to come out of it successful.
I've seen too many SMART yet misguided troubled girls go the route of what they expect is expected of them i ncollege (partying, sex, drugs being wild) just lose their way and destroy their future potential over some nonsense
It's sad...but it's reality
