I don't know what really happened, no one in this thread does. But what I do know is that sexual abuse is one of the hardest things to solve. Yes she didn't seem to care what was happening when she was successful, but she wasn't successful for a very long time. And during the Warrior era she still had mild success - all three singles were top 40 hits, the album didnt sell well but she was never an album seller. She had a #1 with Pitbull. She went on tour, she was undoubtedly making money and could have gone on having radio hits - so why would she throw it all away for nothing ? There is a lot of **** surrounding Dr Luke, and I don't think there's smoke without a fire.

The music industry is sexist and vile. Chris Brown is PROVEN to beat the **** out of his girlfriend, and he goes on to have hits and make his money, without ever being brought to justice. Kesha never had a chance.

Kesha, herself, in her legal documents has stated that she had never told anyone at SONY about the allleged abuse. How are they supposed to protect when she didn't tell anyone what was going on????

And she can have "the right to want" for everything in the world, sadly, she doesn't have any "actual legal rights" to force her employer to do anything.

All rape accusations should be taken seriously, it says more about the people making the judgements than they want to realise.

Maybe. But the problem is that up until now, Kesha's done everything to get out of her contract with Luke. Maybe it's a sign of abuse. Who knows? Anyway, the issue is that she's accusing Luke of something that can't be proven until the hearing and even then, the odds are against her.

My problem is that almost everyone on Kesha's side is accusing those of us that are impartial of supporting an "alleged" rapist. There's no proof he did; if there is any that can verified in court next year, I'll admit I was wrong. But until then, there's a reason the old adage "innocent until proven guilty" rings true.

That's not true. The first time I was sexually abused I didn't report it and by the time I felt like I needed too it was to late. Some women are too scared to report that right away. This isn't a good argument here.
