I agree, Def Jam isn't the best label choice but when Rih needed to get stuff done, they got it done. I don't know how drastic her team changed after moving to Roc Nation but clearly they're not competent enough to manage someone like Rihanna. Def Jam got her to release an album each year for four years straight, so I can understand there being some lag time in between eras so rushed but still...they weren't bad compared to what she's going through now. 3 years of time and they can't even get a tour and album release right.

Yeah, when it comes to getting music (albums and singles) out there, Def Jam was better because they never had pushbacks with that, but the issues Rihanna is facing now (postponed concerts or award show, little to no promo, and late videos) are not anything new.

Actually, I think many people were looking forward to Rihanna at the Grammys. I know I was. She really should do more appearances and talk shows. People like her. I think she thinks she is too good for promo. There is no way shows do not ask for her.

It was really dumb to announce the tour and album cover months before the actual album dropped. I honestly think Kanye rubbed off on her, because I've never seen a messier album release, then he drops his stuff a few weeks later and now it's come to this. She's lucky the album is good and people always love her music.
