They may share like one similar backdrop but it's still a reach
If anything Dance x3 is more Uptown Funk then Show Gonorrhea, they are the least compatible

I have the Galaxy Supernova MV in pristine HD on my iMac.
It only looks 360p because YouTube compresses videos.
Thats why music shows look crappy quality even in 1080p on YT, but are proper HD if you download the .ts .tp files online.

The only J-pop act I've recently checked out and actually enjoyed was Da-ICE, and even then there's like tackiness about that made me feel like I was listening to a Zedd album that never got released before he was making anything substantial. Don't get me wrong some J-pop is still legitimately good, but I think it's getting harder to come by.

Not that all K-pop is good, but as already said, given the scene is a little more on trend, you're more likely to stumble upon something you like.

J-Pop 2000-2010 was superior to K-Pop in every possible way. Quality, variety, success... K-Pop only started to catch up like in 2008.

I guess if it weren't for the idol craze, J-Pop could still be an international force today, but they ruined everything.

Well, yeah. Pop music, as in "music designed to be bought and consumed by a wide audience" started in what, the late 90s in Korea, compared to Japan's pop music industry beginning right after the start of American occupation post-WWII? Korean producers and sound engineers as a whole couldn't even figure out how to compress their mixes properly until 2008. The second they got modern sound production technique down, (essentially when Tell Me blew up) the quality of Korean pop started leading Japanese pop by a large margin.

I literally never watch music show performances online anymore.
I always get them from JPS or kpop24hrs instead.
It's definitely worth the little extra effort.

@Jack! you should check out Ai Otsuka LOVE TRiCKY album from last year. That + Zipangu were the only Japanese releases to blow my mind recently.

Carly should "borrow" from these two albums for her next masterpiece.

I'm pretty sure the japanese sales are already included in the korean numbers. And for sure we won't see numbers like that again especially since physical sales in korea keep going down. Soon enough people won't even have where to play or even rip their CDs (most already just buy it for the support & collection value).

Gaon needs to start counting digital album sales and the retailers need to start pushing them more. The focus on singles is killing albums both in quality and numbers...

The Boys is special, in this case, SM distributed the album themselves in Japan independent of their Korean release.

I discovered this bc the Oricon sales of The Boys outweigh its November Gaon sales and both charts do count for returns.

So thankfully, The Boys figure stays. Unfortunately the other albums mentioned have to have their Oricon stats removed :c

It's kinda sad how Dal Shabet released a Japanese single last year and not a single person who bought it (not that there was many) thought to put it on the internet.

Also, the Type A version of VIXX's month-old Japanese album.

Is there a reason why these things don't get digitally released?
