The photoshoot may be for the single cover and even if we don’t get the album soon (she'll probably stick to her September/October date), we'll probably get a mini era from the soundtrack songs. The movie opens in late May, the perfect time for BBMAs and MTV Movie Awards performances. Last time, Avril got a video for her Alice single so that should be in the works too. Hopefully something super moody by Floria Sigismondi again.

she needs to use real instruments for a full album. i'm sick of how the last three releases have been so predictable: 2-3 boy bashing songs, 1-2 acoustic guitar songs, an emotional piano ballad closer, and a purely garbage track or two per album. it's becoming redundant and boring. she needs to ditch whatshisface and do something amazing for the next record! her voice is gorgeous and raspy when done right, and not over-processed on mainstream pop garbage songs. a few bops are fine as long as they're awesome (SW is acceptable) and not disgusting (HCTW)

Yes, she needs instruments, not all these electronic synths. I've always fantasized about a Cosmic Love from her. And she needs to use her vocals more. For some reason her studio albums always seem to dilute her vocals. Her vocals during live concerts are so much more powerful e.g. JGMAR.
I don't think she would do it as she likes to write from a personal perspective, but she should do a concept album. Something lyrically similar to I'm Not Dead but more. Something like Bohemian Rhapsody, not paying attention to the formula of verse, bridge, chorus.

I was thinking the same about Avril's MTV too! But her single is a little too poppish (same as P!nk's style) so I hope the latter will not be doing her usual single materials... Instead do something that's thematic and relevant to the movie.

I'm still surprised she released HCTW. Literal garbage. How could she put that crap on the album and snub Is This Thing On?

The saddest thing is its with Eminem. Two very smart, badarse, bold stars who decide to come up with that.

Interesting note: we dont have any evodence that P!nk and Adele jave ever met but somehow they have talked to each other with P!nk giving advice to Adele.
Maybe they collabed on a duet

true love has shown us that pink doesn't have to meet people physically in order to make a collab.

So now we know why the friendliness between her and Depp. Also, she has never sounded better!!!
But no new album in spring. I guess we are getting the same timeline as TTAL. She will be busy with the songs and movie during spring. When the songs will have been forgotten in June, a new single will be released late summer and a new album in autumn. If this does not happen, then we'll be waiting till 2017...

She's releasing her new album "Ret!red". It's a collection of unreleased album tracks that no one likes.

i've been listening nonstop to her discography this past week. how can someone release so many amazing songs with great lyrics, messages, melodies, and production....and then release some truly horrific songs, at the same time (HCTW)? i have to pretend that song doesn't exist, and then p!nk's offenses aren't as terrible. she's just living up to her true potential, musically-speaking, and i hope she realizes that.
Glitter In The Air and The Great Escape are both absolutely gorgeous. i think Funhouse is drastically underrated. get rid of Bad Influence, it's such a good album.

Wait....so if she's attending the Alice through the blablabla premier in spring - there is a chance that she's gonna meet Helena Bonham Carter there...and since she adores everything that's weird and freaky, they might even become friends!
Close friends who will decide to shoot a music video together in the style of Tim Burton!!!!!!!! Just a fan phantasie?? I doubt it tbh!

fh is my third favorite pink album! it's so bittersweet. and i find bad influence to be a great party song. i wouldn't change many things on that album. there are some musical choices that should have been improved (mainly on it's all your fault), but overall it's a great album. crystal ball and mean are highlights and glitter in the air is out of this plane of existence! it's incredible <3
but she should've moved on and grow artistically after fh. i get that she needed that safe space for fh what with the break-up and all, but after the fh era and all the acclaim she got for her tour and how musically she's grown -- and she noticed that herself by claiming she wanted to go to nashville to record a rock album for album #6 -- she decides to not follow it up but to go backwards and do TTAL? kind of a slap in the face and she, once again, sold herself short talent-wise.
CTMH/m!ss/TT was a great progression, IND/FH/TTAL not so much. i hope with the next decade of eras she'll have that old spark back.

Hmmm I still don't get all this hate for HCTW. It was never meant to be a lyrical masterpiece - just a harmless song with a fun text and a lot of opportunity to join her screaming. Sooo...judging it by different standards, it is reaaally not so bad!
Although I'm wondering what happened to that other song they wrote in this particular session!
