Who said Higher would be a future single?
I just said it was easily a lead single material if she wasn't lazy enough to finish the song and give it a full length.

@Kingpin: Funny how everyone said that about "California King Bed" or "Diamonds" when their studio versions hit the net and she nailed both live
Higher will be even easier for her since there's no edit, it's already a live recording.
I've never seen your ass in this base before, so if that's your first try in here: weak.
Exit please.
That's why i said, her voice needs a bit of polishing. Trust me the first sessions of Diamonds probably sounded like Higher. Even worse for Drunk On Love, they probably did a lot of edit.
Even without polishing i love the song as it is, i love that she left it raw like that but i can understand why people would hate.
As for the production it's exquisite, it's the best on the album, the piano and that ****ing violon are ****ing powerful, it immediately takes me back and swallows me. That's what music should be.
I kinda doubt it tbh. She's performed Diamonds live so many times with ease, I doubt she could ever do that for Higher. I'm not really a fan of the over the top nature of the vocals, it's very grating, but I get it - it works with the concept of the song.

We'll see in two weeks if the song make it into the setlist.

CKB and Diamonds aren't as vocally demanding, not even close. This part of Diamonds is up there, but she never sang the background track live.
So Base elitism is a thing now. Cute. I'm a Rih stan, she's the only pop singer that I like enough to listen to every album of and follow but I'm aware that she's not the most technically amazing vocalist out. She's a lot better than some of these other acts winning album grammys but going by past performances, I don't see it going down well. Prove me the **** wrong though Rih.
Higher is literally her straining and using improper vocal technique for effect... why would you want her to do that in performances? I don't even see the commercial appeal. How could it be a lead single or anything else?
I'm generally worried about ha tbh, something has been "off" for a long time imo Idk if it was just getting used to having full control or the wrong people getting into her head (looking at you Kanye) but I hope she's able to find some stability soon. Sometimes I feel like she really is over releasing music and now acting and in particular fashion are the main focuses now.

"Over releasing music" when she just dropped an album, and she's about to go on tour? Plus, she seemed fine on Ellen.
