Most follow-ups to massive eras tend to be like 25. Or, if the artist takes a real left turn, they end up underperforming as millions of fans are disappointed with the sudden change.

Now that she has proven she's not a one era wonder, she has the freedom to do pretty much anything on her next album imo.

I can't think of a follow-up era that was like 25. At least, not in recent history. I remember Duca saying that 25 would be her Here I Stand.

Mary's mash-up between Adult Contemporary and Urban Contemporary music would so fit Adele's style, so I'd hope they would give her a chance. That caused Mary to have a little decline in sales but I'd be damned if that's not her best album to date.

I just think Hello set the bar too high for the other singles on this album. It was the highlight of the album. WUTB will be a hit though, just because it's so radio friendly. WWWY is her least radio friendly single and is only getting the play it's getting because of Hello's momentum.

She should have had a stronger uptempo song to follow Hello.
