Director, as in she tells people what to do. She calls the shots. Kinda like how people tell Britney what to do in regards to every aspect of her life, since she is under TWO LIFETIME CONSERVATORSHIPS.

I feel sorry for Gaga. I see her more as a Marilyn Manson than a Madonna. She kind of incurred a serious problem when she decided to go the "little monsters" route with BTW.
Now she has to live up to the Gaga world she's created and please her Little Monsters, it's just going to shun the public away even more. Lady Gaga is a character artist. She's 100% image. Like Marilyn Manson, she's created a character as an artist she has to be for the rest of her career. She's going to run out of ideas.
Artists like Madonna and David Bowie are artists who play characters on their albums, at the end of the day Madonna is Madonna, David Bowie is David Bowie. Lady Gaga and Marilyn Manson would be like if David Bowie had originally called himself Ziggy Stardust from the get-go and had to base his music off of the character Ziggy Stardust from the themes to the fashion, e.t.c.
Madonna and Bowie can be anything they want on an album, that's why they're known for re-invention. Lady Gaga and Manson really can't re-invent their character, it's the reason why she runs the risk of limiting themselves to a niche role in music.

He really isn't, but when you push the narrative of an artist being greater than what they are to a group of people who can't think for themselves, you end up with public figures like Kanye and Beyonce.

While I do agree with you, I feel like, at the end of the day, y'all are taking this way too seriously. If anything. Gaga has faced some serious flopping and if she wants to do a completely different character for the next album, I don't see what's going to stop her.

I like her david bowie tribute but it's kind of like a kid that saw a shiny ball for the 10th time. it loses it's wow factor luster and it makes you admire the toys that can be used for different reasons. Like legos have multiple ways of entertaining a child but a shiny ball pretty much is what it is until it is no longer shiny and neeeeeeeew.
I still hope gaga comes back because she deserves one comeback but i agree. she really put herself in the marilyn manson lane a bit

I said she "runs the risk" I didn't say it was imminent. The better she catches on to what I said in that post, the better she'll be. Playing up "Lady Gaga" as a character is going to be the end of her career. Trust.

But that user isn't 100% incorrect. Once everyone started copying Gaga in 2010, Gaga should have gone an entirely different route with the gimmicks..as in she should have dropped them. The meat dress should have been her grand finale. I feel like BTW was supposed to be paired with a more organic image. Instead it seemed as though she was in a race to out gimmick the other girls, when instead she should have created a new game.
