She doesn't try very hard ever and she comes across as a charming, warm spirit.
Her talent and output keeps getting better, too.
She doesn't have to try to stay a main force because people go back to Rihanna for what they always have gone back to Rihanna for: feeling good, not feeling like you have to be invested in some bigger picture, but just enjoying yourself.

"Pillowtalk" is really difficult to get into. The production is just so elementary and plodding, it never escapes bottom-drawer pseudo-R&B. Though, the phoned-in vocals are my biggest issue. Was he always such a charisma vacuum?
He sounds bored or like he’s trying too hard to sound like he’s not trying too hard.
Same with the video. He's barely moving his mouth and serving dead eyes.
