Most of beyonces music is unapologetically black. But I was expecting a song that would encorporate the community more into it instead of just talking about herself like she always does. Superpower is something like that and matches the video she released. Formation does not.

You're right though, it does not have to sound like a poem, but formation to me is just another Beyoncé song (not that good honestly) and shouldnt be praised like it's being praised to me because it's really nothing special and isn't really empowering

I think Company is the best bet for another top 10.

It's clear he's going to close the era with his hip hop songs with either Nas/Big sean or the other guy so company is a decent transition.

I actually didn't believe that she pulled that off. Kind of insane how she did it. Buying that album was a major LOL because I was so mad at her but so happy at the same time. Don't you just love stanning for acclaimed artists?

I liked the album more than Yeezus.
Witch house/glitch hop is one of my fav genres and Y felt like a big appropriation of it all,
and I really didn't like a lot of the lyrical content. New Slaves and Blood though >
