It is ok. Janet doesnt need any credit. All people need to do is listen to her music and her lyrics to see what she was about. The fact Rhythm Nation and its style and choreography is still relevant today says it all. You could see its influence in the Bruno and Beyonce performance last weekend.

My point of view is praising an artist that reached out to her people in a meaningful way that made people talk about race. Second, it's not her fault that is ''trendy to do it''. It wasn't just about vogueing, though. Her dancers were proud and gay on camera, for the world to see and she endorsed it during a time when it was taboo and she got **** for it
