The only artist Katy needs to avoid is Taylor because she would get crushed and the media will have a field day with it because of Bad Blood. Adele's sales have slowed down enough that Katy could go number one if she releases this summer

The bulk of Teenage Dream was done between April and June (aka all the Dr Luke material) and for TERRORISM on spring/2013 so time is not the problem.

Also, I doubt Regina is releasing this year. Her image is just way too well thought for her to release after being almos 2 years in everyone's faces all the time.

She said in that interview that she wants to CHANGE her three year cycle. Did ya'll not read the same interview as me? She was talking about how she's been in a 3 year cycle, and was looking to do something else. Hence why I'm sure KP4 isn't coming out this year, or if it is, not 'til very late.

If TD was released 3 years ago with PRISM production quality...she would have 70 metacritic and flop hard

TD was a little ahead. Now ppl like it more and it gets credit it deserved. Even critics says album is a pop classic.
TD 2.0, or as others like to say 1989, will be remebered bc of Taylor vs Katy. It had videos with a huge money but they are not even close to TD's music videos.

Though, Taylor deserved to win. She knows how to set the era, has good stylists, good single choices and the record company which says what record they want, when and know how to make the success.
