Donald Trump is speaking now in SC. Probably will address the criticism from W yesterday

Clinton spoke to Sharpton and will make a speech on systemic racism, most likely after Trump. I'll watch both but just in case any of you wanted to know its on CNN

People act like it would be a sudden jump to $15, or that the $15 figure is permanent. Like... it's one of the president's jobs to aim for the best then start compromising gradually to get to a final common consensus that can get passed. The "this would never pass" argument is played for uneducated voters and we get that, but we don't need to play it here.

Did they also forget to mention that median income would soar by more than $22,000, nearly 26 million jobs would be created and the unemployment rate would fall to 3.8%? Yup, they probably forgot.

Well, not surprising if you think about his plan of having the federal government in charge of health insurance, paying everyone's tuition, etc.

At the root of Sanders' proposal is a massive increase in government.

Not really. I would prefer to not have an extreme of either, and the Republicans this year are not for me ideologically. I think Sanders' proposals are too much, too fast. I'm much more of an incrementalist.

I was specifically referring to government growth, it's such a Republican talking point. Government would grow under Clinton (and would have under O'Malley, Webb, Chafey), this isn't new to Democrats. Bernie always said that the things he's proposing wouldn't get done tomorrow, everything needs time as well as a lot of compromise.
