Her albums are limited editions, they only produce up to 5k-10k copies each time, so there's no wasted money whatsoever considering she only sells about 5k anyway. She have a decent digital power as well (both singles from Hawwah went top 10) so they might make a few coins from that too.

I know she does not sell albums, and only does decently digital-wise

But we all know digital sales barely make any coins for idols (AOA only now started earning money after TONS of CF's and 3 smash hit singles), CF's and concerts and where it's at,

& I don't think she does either, so it's weird she still can release annually and even film multiple MV's

But AOA started being succesfull in 2014 and they debuted in 2012, so they have their debut debt to pay..

As for the AOA part, it's mainly due to the fact that FNC (and many other labels) count all the pre-debut training costs and make the idols pay off as they go.
Including AOA's pre-BraveBros eras, the debt must've built up quite a bit

Gain most-likely would've paid off all her "pre-debut/flop era" debts by 2009 so realistically ANY money she makes from that point is probably split between her & her company even if it's little

I feel bad for idols...for many reasons, but can you imagine how suicidal the kids who are kicked out of Big3

Considering how digital sales mostly go to composers/producers/distributors and it's not like they move SM-amounts of physicals or sell SM-amounts of concert seats, and the CF's and appearances and show gigs generally tend to remain within the CJ vertical on top of the issue that every time AOA goes on a promo, that's a billion won out the door... this whole thing about AOA breaking even could just be media play.
