No. Waste all effort and energy on what is needed right now as a society. And clearly, it's the economy.

What about minorities? Why didn't seem like a vital necessity to boost them in your claim?

I think it's been laid out enough times in this thread, I was just curious to hear from you.

$15/hour though. While that may be nice, that's going to cause an economic inflation. Can you imagine paying 2x more for a Big Mac Meal because cashiers are basically paid the same amount as their supervisors and managers?
IT system administrators being paid minimum $25-30 an hour after spending $200,000 on college degrees, but who needs that when you can make and serve coffee for $15/hour with no 0 effort and 0 education needed?
Edit: I agree with him on tuition fees though. Tuition fees are a SCAM.
I think Bernie's governance could work if American has 30M people, instead of 400M that there is now. Much like Canada, we have a very democratic society. And it has become effective throughout the years. I've been able to get my meds for free ($800/month). And I love this country for that.

It would be a gradual increase through 2020. I do think that's a bit high for places like Kansas but at least he's keeping the conversation going about having a living wage. He could settle for something slightly lower and still help plenty of people out.

Gradual is relative. In Canada, gradual would have subtle changes, but even then it may strain the economy because of the layoffs.
However, since the US have 300M people, 4 years is a radical increase to $15.
Imagine how 1% of Facebook entire user base get hacked every year. While 1% is a small number, 1% of 1 billion is 10,000,000 people. In the same light, 4 needs to be stretched out to possibly 7-8 years because you're thinking of a $2 increase a year for the next 4 years.

But to please both sides of our ideology, why not turn minimum wage debate into a state issue.

HILLARY.. EXPLAIN THIS:

Pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens: Agrees
|
She's really gunning for that Latino voter base. But sadly, I strongly agree with Trump on this one.
As a Canadian immigrant, whose family has gone through so much just to immigrate to this country, shelling out so much money, effort, resources, and waited so much time, it's quite insulting that illegal immigrants have eligibility to be American citizens because they merely crossed the border?
Refugees are completely different story, because they are granted another chance at life, but jumping the border as means of economic vulturing is just plain wrong.
I'm starting to lean more and more towards Trump now. Please Queen Clinton, redeem yourself!

Hmm... I'd have to do some research into this, but she may be supporting the notion of working with current illegal immigrants so that they can become citizens and also work on immigration reform in general in tangent to that so that the procedure as a whole is better for people wanting to enter the country.
I don't know, honestly. I get where you're coming from, though. But, I also don't think building a wall and deporting millions of illegal immigrants as realistic or beneficial at a macro level.

Well, the damage is already there. It's going to cost the government way more money deporting these illegal immigrants than granting them citizenship, and have contributions to the economy. So I hope you're right by what she means of the current workforce who have crossed the barrier years ago.
And Trump's ideologies:
Quote:
Stimulus better than market-led recovery Strongly Disagrees
Higher taxes on the wealthy Agrees
Pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens Strongly Disagrees
Privatize Social Security Agrees
|
Even he wants to tax the wealthy. King
King Trump for economy and Hillary for social issues If only they are one person, they'd be the perfect candidate.
I'm so torn between these two now.
If only Trump isn't a religious nut. But I believe he's a lot more liberal than what he portrays in the media.
That's great that he doesn't believe in Stimulus because that's exactly what's happening right now in the Canadian economy after Trudeau stepped into office, and it made the dollar plummet even more, as low as 59c by the end of the year.
King Trump and Queen Hillary for this election is going to be so iconic.
ANYONE but Sanders.

I think I'm pretty similar to you - I support Hillary and really do not want to vote for Bernie (and also happen to be a Canadian immigrant) - and I disagree with Hillary on this too... but I think it is normal to have disagreements with every candidate.

My issue with Trump is simply that I don' know if he actually means what he says. He's radically flipped for this election from what he said a few years ago that it's hard for me to actually believe what he's saying, it comes off as a show to me. In terms of politics, he's not as radical as a lot of people think he is. He's just... very forward.

My issue with Trump is his position on trade and the fact that he said he would try overturn Obergefell, which is a huge negative for me

Yeah. This is the vibe I get from him too. He's become a comedic relief and I dont know if he's actually serious or not.
Issue wise, I side with Trump.
But if I have to vote, it's Clinton all the way.
Experience >>>>
And Bill's presence in white office is a comforting fact, even as a first man of America.

To be honest, I really agree. I have so many Hispanic-American friends who've had family members enter the country illegally that it makes me uncomfortable to voice my real opinions on the issue.
I completely understand that these immigrants are just trying to find a better lives for themselves and they lack the resources and income to do it the proper way, but as someone whose parents did enter this country illegal it does seem unfair that this easy pathway will give these people what my parents had to work for almost a decade to obtain.
Also, I understand it's likely the most prescient immigration policy, but when are the candidates going to discuss work visas and the overhaul of that system. I have so many friends overseas who want to come work in the US and live here desperately, but the current system makes it so difficult for companies to hire them. When are we going to see this issue discussed? I think it's just as important as the issue of illegal immigration.
