lol, yes. literally all you can use is a metacritic score. I am using facts that show that 1) Lana was more involved in making UV 2) The album is more "envelope-pushing" than ST 3)It is more original.

It isn't me saying that Beyoncé is above her peers and more talented, it's critics. It isn't me who claim that Rihallah and Lana Del God are nothing more than mediocre, it is the critics. it isn't me going on about how Kei$ha and KaTy are basically jokes with very little talent, it is critics.

Yes, Lana is not really anything exceptional. It is true that she makes mostly different music to the girls she is compared to in SYG, which I don't even know why you'd compare Lana to most of them.
But anyway, she's not some groundbreaking artist nor is she some musical genius. But every artist appeals to people, and she has certainly worked her niche.
The most respected critics in music think G I R L is a better album than BEYONCÉ. There is no objective "better".
In the end just be happy if you were born with such good taste that UV is more pleasing to your ears than Pepcé her discography. We can't all be so fortunate.

Like, I'm not convinced the MC reviewers can interpret or understand music better than I can. I can spot the best part of songs, appreciate lyrical elements, appreciate musical elements, and not just stan for a cute melody.
That's not to say that I don't love some generic and basic hits, but still.
MC is flawed. I guarantee you if Bén released Teenage Dream sounding EXACTLY the same as the original album, the album would get higher than a 55 (or whatever it got on MC) because the artist releasing it was not Katy Perry.
