All of that hard work trying to court the black vote (meeting with Sharpton, touting his marches with MLK, talking about desegregating housing at his college, getting Jealous and Nina to campaign for him) all to just throw it away
Luckily for him this may not go viral. Let's just start new Bernie!
It won't leave social media, luckily for him. Hillary won't touch it because she wants nothing to do with that subject either.
Basically he really just dodged the question, he didn't even talk about reparations in that quote. It's just continuing his narrative. Still bad, but not as bad. Definitely doesn't help him though, and might even have the same effect if he just flat-out said that white people deserve reparations.
I like how we both read the same quote but had two completely different conclusions
According to an CBS News poll released in October, George W. Bush had a 67 percent favorable rating among Republicans. His unfavorable rating was just 8 percent.
If Sanders wins on the Democrat side I'll vote for Trump.

(the same Bernie who says he'll use executive orders to give amnesty to the 11M illegals already here YET says reparations to blacks are 'divisive'. No black should vote for Bernie)
Yes, let's vote for the woman who is to blame for why so many black people are imprisoned now

He's stated it numerous times. Hillary has done nothing more for black people than Bernie has.

I think the issue is that he claims to be a revolutionary but on race he's suddenly pragmatic. I personally don't support reparations (politically unfeasible...and how would that even work, really?) but it's a legitimate criticism imo.
So you AGREE that it's unfeasible, but still want him to act like it's possible?

I'm not for reparations either (too late for that) but his answers on so many minority issues (the only issue I'm voting on) are so dodgy and misinformed. (Taxing the 1% and breaking up big banks won't fly here)
A single-issue voter
You should really look up his issues because you're the misinformed one here.

Yeah I hope she's never asked the question. I already know she'll artistically say no. Or she might say yes and conveniently forget about it

She actually was asked about it.
She basically said no without saying no. But let's drag Bernie for actually saying no!

Hillary isn't calling for a political revolution. She is promising pragmatic ideas
She isn't the one saying all of this "free college, single payer health care" stuff yet pushing minority issues to the side because they aren't feasible.
This is why Bernie doesn't have "much" black support.

She literally implied in the video that reparations aren't feasible. Bernie said the same thing.
Bernie is saying "free college, single payer health care" is possible because it's worked in other countries before. How many countries have had to deal with reparations? He knows, just like everyone else in this thread, that it's not possible. Will never happen. He's been consistent with his support for racial equality his entire life. I don't know why people are acting like he doesn't care about black people or something.
And I seriously doubt that's the reason why he doesn't have much black support.

None of his policies are possible . You can't just pick and choose which ones are and which aren't . You can try to say "health care is possible because other countries did it" but the first country to do it didn't know it was possible. He should be for it if he's so revolutionary as he says. But hey maybe that's why I don't support him, I don't think anything he says can be done
He's right about it not being feasible. But none of his work is. He cares plenty about blacks but he doesn't have any results to show, that's why
