Democracy CAN and SHOULD be suspended if a country is not ready for it. Let those people come to terms with it themselves. What NATO did was the equivalent of if the Russians had given black people in the 60s arms and military support and told them to overthrow the government for treating them like **** and lynching people in the public and hosing them down with water and setting police dogs on them.
Let countries evolve on their OWN time. Not the Western's. It took France how many tries to get it right?

Democracy being suspended for a while has tragic consequences most times, look at Uganda with Idi Amin.
And that democracy evolving thing is a nice theory but impractical. This isn't the 1700s or the 1800s and agreeing with that theory is basically agreeing that Africa is backward.
But how the West handled Gaddafi was messy but he wasn't in the right either.
And of course there's the aspect of doing what they did because they were in African territory and that it wouldn't have happened if it was a white dictator but that doesn't excuse Gaddafi's mess.
