My logic makes complete sense. No shade but first, you need to learn the difference between donating and philanthropy. Donating means writing a check or giving cash. I donated last week to a homeless man. Philanthropy is not about simply giving money. It means devoting your time, money, and your voice to spread awareness and make a long-term change about certain issue. Oprah is an example of a philanthropist.So is Bill Gates. Beyonce and Jay Z ARE just NOW starting to burgeon as philanthropists. Of course, some people would look at that funny considering that their very expensive venture is struggling and needs support. I mean, CNN loves The Carters and even they asked the same question. I think my point is pretty valid

Okay well Beyonce and Jay certainly fall under the umbrella of philanthropy considering they've started multiple foundations each. Can't really argue with that.

Beyonce donating 100k to hurricane Ike = donating
Beyonce spearheading, doing concerts, and engaging with sponsors for Chime For Change = philanthropy
