Do you think given the public education system in America that the poor and middle class would really be the ones benefiting most from a free public college system? I have a feeling many of those poor people and minorities would end up at that local public college that people never heard of, has low graduation rates, and low employment rates that require relevant degrees.

The whole idea of free college will never happen but I do think he can have an impact on tuition costs and helping out lower income students more than what's available. Both of my parents make decent money and I still had to struggle during college. I can only imagine how it is for lower income students.
Plus I'm going to NYU later this year for a second degree and I can only imagine the debt I'll be in. Thankfully I'll get a degree that pays off in the end, but still.
It's like starting out with your highest price so it can be lowered to where you want it to be.
