I stan for Coldplay and I loved the HS, but it made me appreciate Katy's more.
First of all, they targeted their fans (hence why I loved it) but last year even if you didn't care about her you could enjoy it.
Second she didn't have messy album tracks that no one knows/cares. Third she went ALL in visually. Fourth she perfectly handled her guests, enough spotlight, great songs and no cringeworthy dance offs.
Despite her poor choices lately, she's been really smart with these kind of things (ie that's also why most of her best performances are at the Grammy) and she deserves credit for it (even the fact that she didn't destroy Fw at the SB deserves credit tbh)

I just watched it and her attention to detail is amazing. The comment she made about the sharks just shows how smart she is. I remember her saying once that she seems to have a good sense of what people want and for the most part she's been spot on. She is a genius and so savvy when it comes to her career. I think it's really overlooked at times and people don't appreciate it enough. I really miss her tbh and can't wait for the next era
