If BernieBros are swayed towards Trump then they probably were republicans to begin with
Eh. Bernie and Clinton would beat all of the republicans (well I don't think Bernie would beat Trump). They're right to say this far out those polls don't mean anything because they have been scarcely accurate in history. I don't remember the last time general election matchup polls 7 months before the election were actually accurate (and I've been following polls from 2000 on. Though I wasn't super active politically until 2008). We'll have to wait and see.
Out of curiosity, why do you think Bernie would have more trouble beating Trump than any other republicans? Besides the national polls, Bernie would have most of the democratic party, and has much better pull among independents, while Trump has alienated even the republican base (with pretty terrible favor-ability ratings among them). If Bernie somehow gets the nomination, it's Trump's name he wants to see across from his; a more mainstream repub like Rubio who would hold most of the republican vote and challenge either of the democratic nominees among independents is what would be most dangerous.
That is, of course, unless Bloomberg makes good on his rumored run for prez if Bernie is the nominee AND the polls which show him taking enough of Bernie's vote to allow Trump to win are accurate.

I almost feel bad for Trump. While he's said some risky and offensive things this election cycle, the people who are flocking to him are 100 times worse. Does he pander to them to win the repub nomination and get pummeled in the general? Or risk alienating them now? It would be funny if he wins the republican nomination, and then flip flops to more moderate positions in the general. He's already held a range of beliefs that pretty much span the entire political spectrum over the years.
Bernie and Trump are angling for the same base----angry white dudebro rageholics. It's no wonder some of their supporters like both despite them having nothing in common politically.
Oh, and Bernie would get slaughtered in a general election. He hasn't made it through any sort of Republican gauntlet, which is why his unfavorables are so low. During the general election all you need to write in an ad is "Socialist who wants to raise taxes," play that on loop, and that would be all she wrote.
Would also like to add that as previously mentioned Bernie supporters are less likely to vote for Clinton when push comes to shove come election day if Clinton becomes Democratic presidential candidate. This is especially true amongst millennials (most likely down to the fact that they view Bernie has 'integrity') and previously independant voters . The DNC hopes that if Hilary becomes the frontrunner millennials will vote for her over the 'big, bad republican enemy'/otherwise blame it all on sexism. I personally don't see that attitude of 'vote-shaming' happening, millennials are disillusioned by Hilary and polls have made that very clear.
My argument therefore is that we are more likely to see the republican voted to power if Hilary and not Bernie is the alternative.
A lot of Bernie supporters, like Bernie himself, weren't even Democrats a year ago. These people are not representative of the Democratic base (the older voters and minorities that Clinton currently has a substantial lead with) that are needed to open a path to victory in November. And millenials are a highly unreliable voting block anyway...for all of this supposed "revolution" talk out of the Sanders campaign, IA caucus Dem turnout was down 30% compared to 2008. What happened to all of that unbridled enthusiasm?
I do however agree that Clinton's surrogates need to chill on the sexism thing. It's an issue, but you can't say things like "female Sanders supporters are doing it to impress men." That's extremely offensive.

This is the most blatantly dumb thing I have read in a long long time.
I love how the Republicans are finally attacking Bernie after dismissing his campaign for the past year. Future President got them shaking in their boots.

That is kind of irrelevant, votes are going to be votes. It actually makes it more likely that come election day they won't vote for Hilary if she is the DNP candidate. That only serves to strengthen my point. Sanders swayed 2:1 on millennials in the Iowa caucus over Cilinton with a record high turnout of millennial voters.
Not at all, but it's not my job to make you see it.
The "Bernie Bro" stereotype didn't come out of thin air, despite the objections of the Bernsters.
Just like how all Americans are fat and all English people love tea or how all Clinton supporters are raging, hormonal feminists? Stop with the stereotyping, it's actually pathetic.

The point was that these people were never "safe" Dem votes anyway, so their loss is insignificant. And as I said, you can beat the millenial drum all you want, but on the whole they are not a reliable voting block who can be said to swing an election (and again, for all the talk of "turnout," these folks failed to materialize in Iowa overall, down 70,000 from 2008). Hillary is still leading substantially with minorities, who are the most significant and reliable portion of the 2-time presidential election winning Obama coalition.

Clinton supporters aren't the ones attacking everyone on social media who disagrees with their candidate. Bernie Bros are everywhere disparaging anyone who dares to stand against Saint Bernie on any issue no matter how minor, and the accounts of it are everywhere. It's gotten to the point where Bernie himself has had to speak about it. Your denial is irrelevant here.

I wouldn't call having the majority of support among women under 45 in a recent NH poll and younger women in general, nor talking about feminism and pay equity on numerous occasions, not to mention supporting #BLM and making one of his main campaign issues fighting racial injustice i the criminal justice system "angling for white dudebros", or whatever.
The media has already been beginning >90% of all segments and articles re: Bernie Sanders by calling him a "socialist" and running "we will raise taxes. yes we will!" headlines, and it hasn't affected his growing support from being an unknown to now rivaling Clinton in both primary states and now nationwide currently.
