The difference is that there isn't a vocal minority of Clinton supporters using Jewish slurs against Bernie, whereas there is a vocal minority of Sanders supporters who use sexist terms like witch, hag, and the c-word. And the "internet is mean, get tough skin!!!" argument isn't quite fair. I'm not concerned with Hillary being able to take potshots from detractors, I'm concerned with a sizable segment of a candidates support seemingly coming from sexists.

Would also like to add that as previously mentioned Bernie supporters are less likely to vote for Clinton when push comes to shove come election day if Clinton becomes Democratic presidential candidate. This is especially true amongst millennials (most likely down to the fact that they view Bernie has 'integrity') and previously independant voters . The DNC hopes that if Hilary becomes the frontrunner millennials will vote for her over the 'big, bad republican enemy'/otherwise blame it all on sexism. I personally don't see that attitude of 'vote-shaming' happening, millennials are disillusioned by Hilary and polls have made that very clear.

My argument therefore is that we are more likely to see the republican voted to power if Hilary and not Bernie is the alternative.

She is more liberal on social issues:

Immigration

Abortion

Gay marriage

Trump is more socioeconomically liberal than any other GOP candidate I can think of. He agrees with single payer healthcare, is against the war on drugs, seems to agree on the scientific consensus on climate change, against political corruption and against so called 'free trade' deals.

Either way I don't understand how anyone can vote for a conservative candidate.
