Maybe this is obvious, but I really love that the title has so many connotations. The first and most obvious being a formation in terms of the choreography of the song/in the video. She is also telling black women to get with her and celebrate all the things society tries to use to bring them down. On top of that, the song is about her formation, with the first verse talking about her roots and the way they've influenced her child and husband.
