Quote:
Hi! Our team decided to do a "drag through the ages" concept, in which we imagined our characters in differing time periods, extending from Mayan Civilization to the not so distant future of drag. Hopefully you can have a guess at which era each of us decided to tackle. I hope you enjoy our entry!

Ancient Greece, a land of pride, riches and no underwear. My look takes elements of Classical Greece and translates them into a contemporary styling while staying true to high fashion looks I’d like to present. I decided to use the traditional colours of white and gold as it symbolises purity, wealth and power while staying true to the idealism and symbolism that modern day culture has of Ancient Greece. I’m serving Regina George in 490BC. Hera has nothing on me because not only am I serving Regina George I am serving Olympian Queen of the Gods while I radiate an aura of pure energy. Aphrodite pales in comparison and Poseidon might as well hand his crown over because with the amount of fish i’m serving, I might as well be Queen of the Seas.

Medieval, what defines it to the eyes of a common man is usually that of a fantasy. Of a Knight in shining armour, of Dragons and of Princesses. But to those who know the history of the era, It is defined through War, Plague and Death. Which is why my look is an representation of the renown Plague Doctor’s. Reshaped into my image to the world of High fashion and Class.
I chose to use Raven feathers as a source material due to the fact that Raven’s are symbolic of death and desecration within Western Society as is the colour black. The dress is used as a replacement for the original Plague Doctor’s Robe. I used this dress is because it relates to the mask itself. As the mask represents a bird shape and that the dress exhumes an aura of darkness.
I chose this specific mask for the sole reason that it looked luxurious. Which most Plague Doctors weren’t, especially during The Black Plague where they were paid handsomely by Cities. It gives a glamorous tone that just adds to the overall set. The hair was slicked back to give that edgy look and to give a resemblance to a hood to further give off a better representation of a Plague Doctor

Golden Hollywood & Golden Drag. Classiness is what describes this era perfectly and I'm serving you sophisticated, elegant woman, honey!
Lucita Sweet - optional description
60’s kitsch represents what Lucita Sweet is all about. the cute, sharp and sophisticated elements of the items combined show lucita’s personality. The Kitsch skirt represents the playfulness, cos when your man ain’t home this housewife can get lonely and would also look good on your husband's bedroom floor. the shoes and glasses also bring a quirkiness to the look, but the purse and vintage knotted top classes the whole look up. The bold and lively colours stimulate the eyes, leaving a good taste and lasting taste, with the viewer.

For my look, I focused on the "future of drag" aspect of our little drag timeline. I imagine the future of drag will be a cesspool of blurred sexuality and gender, so I opted something relatively understated and minimal, while focusing a lot on sharp, geometric shapes and style in the vein of Carbön.
