So you're summing up her attempt at trying to get a hit as Disastrous and doesn't wanna count it? While for Beyoncé you counted the Super Bowl and tour as promo for the album release?
The banners and the videos were her way to make her release visible and interesting for the public to BUY... on Rih's case that's the part where Samsung bought the album and she gave them for free. Both of them reached platinum very fast... so both wins, right?
