I'm having a meltdown

I knew Same 'Ol Mistakes was a Tame Impala cover, but I thought she got their song and made her own, with new arrangements, tempo, and even mood, revamping the original and leaving the Rihanna mark on it.

But I just heard the original and I'm pissed that IT SOUNDS THE SAME, IT'S NOT A COVER, IT'S A COPY.

Rih just recorded new vocals, that even sound like the vocals on the original.

HOW CAN SHE DO THIS TO US? IT WAS IN MY TOP 3.

You seem to have an odd idea of what a cover is. A cover is a copy of the original with a new singer. You seem to have wanted a reworking.. well that's not what you got or was ever the intention of the recording so get over it. If you're that mad than delete it and download Tame's version.

And it DOES NOT include the SAME arrangement of the covered song.

I won't delete it tho, just a little disappointed...

d i was disappointed too when I heard Same Ol' Mistakes and it was exactly the same, but tbh I'm so into ANTi and Rih's vocals right now that I've been using her version over Tame's even when I listen to a little bit of Currents

I can understand BBHMM getting scrapped from the digital album since most people already have it in the digital form (legally or illegally) but I need it on a physical CD.
That song deserves to be on a CD, it's so iconic. It's one of her signature song and it's gonna be a digital track forever? you telling me it will never be materialised? wtf?





Rih don't **** up and put this gem on a physical version. Hidden track, bonus track, I don't give a ****
