Obama never openly identified as one (nor is he politically a socialist)... They'll take Bernie and won't have to do much to make him terrifying to the public. They wouldn't have to skew much. But they will. They'll take Bernie and turn him into a communist that wants to take everyone's hard-earned money and spend it on people who don't deserve it and a ton of awful things that Americans quite frankly aren't here for. I don't quite care if you believe me, or anyone else, in this regard. But this is a conservative idea of what they'll do to Bernie. They've been attacking Hillary for a quarter of a century, there's not much left to attack her on.
Bernie taking on the term "socialist" and then giving very vague, weak explanations as to why he identifies himself as such won't defend him in a general election.
