True. Even if the album is heavily electropop, I feel like that more stripped down You and I would have fit better. It also doesn't really fit thematically within the album. It's like she threw it in to give BTW a ballad.

Born This Way is a literal anthem.

Just this December a brand new critical acclaimed TV show debuted with the name of "Born This Way" & it was also the theme song for Hotel Transylvania 2 (which broke the September box office record last year).
