I was just thinking about this, the surprise release being described as a fraud, a gimmick, but Frih buying her own albums and then giving them out for free is a "brilliant marketing trick"

sold ≠ given away for free. They can make up whatever number they like. At the end of the day that figure does not contain any pure, legitimate sales which is virtually the only thing that matters.
