Remember, Rihanna's a part owner, so when Tidal's stock prices go up (stuff like this will make it do so), she makes even more money than album sales could get her. This is business way above our heads lol

Now lets not get things twisted. She lost a lot of money from not selling the album at a price like 10$ a piece. But she gained way more with the 5m cheque and the 25m sponsoring. Don't think that sinking ship Tidal stock prices will matter anything, as they are the pits.

Not really because 1) Amazon never notified Gaga or her team that they purchase 300k copies of Born This Way to sell at their own price and 2) the deal ran for one day. If I'm not mistaken, Rihanna and Samsung solidified this deal together.

Essentially, it would be tacky as hell if this really counted as selling 1 million but Gaga would still get dragged or asterisked for a trivial deal that barely assisted her first week sales back in 2011.
