Finally listened and I'm impressed by her artistic expression. Something that she needed to get out, almost as if she needed to prove to herself that she can and will do whatever she wants.
I can tell that this won't be my fav album of hers but it's very strong.
I think my Top 5 in no specific order:
Kiss It Better
Love On the Brain
Higher
Close To You/Never Ending
Needed You/Consideration
Same Ol' Mistakes was originally intended for Rihanna. Its because she recorded the song so long ago and the album was so secretive Tame Impala had no idea if she was still going to use it or not. But she insisted and kept it on her album.
My Media Production prof just told us to "have a good weekend and enjoy Rihanna's new album" omg I yelped! I was gonna go up and stan with him but he left too soon king
I refuse to believe there is a part 2 coming. Only because I don't want to hype myself up only to be disappointed. Plus what would some Cleveland reporter know?
I'm not seeing much 'Yes, I Said It" love, when it's a standout!! It's like a more sophisticated "Skin'. Love the soft tone in her voice, the vocal layering and those shimmery, icy synths.

Music media received a press release yesterday detailing the album when Work aired. It was secretive but you know, some details could always leak. I don't trust this Cleveland reporter tho, but the fact that clairebear told us that there was more to wait for... idk.
