Well I loved all her leads from the first time I heard them including WFL and Diamonds (I called it a classic in the making the minute it premiered on the radio). I hated 45S and I hate this even more. The production is basic, she sounds horrible mumbling those words, Drake wrote one of the laziest verses of his career, the hook is weak. But maybe I don't understand reggae. I'll stay away from Rihanna threads until she delivers something decent.

Except just not as good. However it's not as bad as ATRL says. It's a solid 6, Drake brings it down. Should've asked Future or Fetty to make the song more colorful
The song (lyrically) wouldn't have made sense. Sure, she could have had any rapper and it would have been fine but her history with Drake makes it that much more special. Such tongue in cheek. I LIVE! Will Aubrih happen again?
Some are perhaps turned off from the chorus because they don't 100% understand what's she lyrically saying but once people get it, the song turns out to be better.
I've been trying to get into it, but I'm struggling. I thought it'd be a grower, but I like it less and less with every spin. Maybe the video will help.
But I'm still on Rih's side and I think the album as a whole will be pretty great. And it's coming SOON so that's all that matters
I'm not gonna lie and say it isn't underwhelming. But I do still like it. I don't think it is a great lead single (I personally LOVED 45S and am bummed it isn't on the album) and I hope this isn't indicative of the entire album, but I think it could fit the album well.
Basically I think I would have loved it in the context of an album, but as a single I don't think it works. But it looks like it is doing well sales wise so far. We'll have to see if that continues or if it has a rapid drop.
