That song peaked at, like, #9 and was only so big because of its music video. You're telling me when dancepop was it its peak, in 2008-12, they were thinking "OMG we need the next Toxic!!" uhhhh NO.

Not saying it did. Britney was changing the pop sound yet again, but this time it didn't resonate with listeners. If it did become a success trust that other pop girls would have followed like they did with her previous records and image. Right now radio won't play Britney which will have a serious effect on pop music in general and we can even see that now.

The song went #1 in pop and radio never used her, so this was a very big deal for her. Toxic was actually huge. It's the song that saved In the Zone.
