I still can't believe she's back with Sean Penn. like WTF.
Although she kind of looked amazing at that charity thing with him.

she will always be bigger than bob, that's not even a question. and more impactful too.
sure, young straight boys love to put on their red/yellow/green bandanas and post bob marley catchphrases on facebook, but at the end of the day little they know about his music, and his impact is nowhere to be seen nowadays outside of raggae music. and nobody uses that. whereas madonna is still the main source of influence for these new pop girls, and her impact/name/legacy will live on... like, there's not so much more an artist would like other than having an immaculate, respected, remembered and influential catalog (which she does have) so...

All of this
I can't at people claiming atrl is out of touch then saying Bob Marley is more iconic than Madonna

Madonna's "impact" is limited to pop music. That's it. People like MJ, Marley, Elvis etc have gone far beyond just impacting their own genres.

Before I joined ATRL, from this list I only knew One Love and Like a Prayer and I think Vogue. People say Like a Virgin is Madonna's biggest song but I've never heard it anywhere as a kid.

You should have just stopped here. And nobody was denying that.
But she's simply not on the level of people's whose impact transcends outside of pop culture and even music itself MJ/Marley/The Beatles etc.

I'm not talking about how big her career has been. I'm not talking about the Gag being influenced by her. I'm talking about how the GP regards her today.
Again, she lacks support from young people, black people and straight men and women. Sorry. Not everybody things Vogue is 'so iconic & fierce!!!'

what substantial impact did marley have other than raggae music?
madonna's presence is still felt when it comes to big fields like pop music, fashion and feminism. way more important than marijuana and raggae music that's for sure.

Now that is someone who is overrated on ATRL.

well stoner culture has existed since the 70s so it isn't shocking that he's had huge impact.

People will know her impact once she is dead. That's how it works.

Youtube stats are useful for comparing new artists, for old artists most of their fans don't even use youtube that much. At the end of the day Madonna had more influence on pop music (a genre bigger than reggae), defended the gays, helped with sexual liberation, shaped fashion, etc. Oh and she's alive and kicking sit on stadium tours, like
