Thomas Rhett's hold at Country Radio, and/or Country's willingness to hold onto "Die A Happy Man" truly amazes me. I thought Country would never hold onto hits like this again, no matter how well they were selling, streaming, requested, and performing on callouts and/or online RTMs. And the song is still only losing 200,000 listeners or so a day. Hopefully this song will significantly slow the turnover rate at the format.
DAHM has stayed above 72 million impressions on AS+R for 19 straight days now! I know Friday Teenage remembers the last song to stay at #1 on Country Radio (Audience) for 6 weeks was Taylor Swift's "Our Song" nine years ago. I don't want to get my hopes up, but if this trend continues (and Country can switch so fast it'll make your head spin), DAHM may get a 6th week at #1 in audience, even though his four week run at #1 in spins might end.
No one else on here seems shocked about Country hanging onto a song like at Top 40 lol, but I'm the biggest cheerleader for "The Sound Of Silence" too, which has rebounded from the 80s to the Top 70 on I-Tunes!
