Welcome to the finale of ATRL's Holy Trinity: Resurgence! You've survived through everything that could possibly be thrown at you and now you've reached the end of the road. Believe it or not, this game has barely been going on for over two months! Yet it feels like I've gone on a long journey with all of you, full of twists and turns that made it all the more worthwhile.
As a finalist, you have two assignments.
TheCREATE-YOUR-OWNTrinity
Every round, I give you a theme and you pick songs. One round, I gave you songs and you picked a theme, which was obviously a bigger challenge. But what if I gave you nothing? No songs, no theme? Is that even possible?
That's exactly what this round is. You have no prompt. You are picking your own songs and your own theme. You can do anything as long as it's not a challenge that's already been used in this season. (Past seasons' challenges are not off limits but if I was the creator of said challenge it might not be such a good idea.) Make sure it's clear what your theoretical challenge for yourself is. If your challenge idea is really good, it might even be used next season!
Part 2 of your finale entry...
TheTESTAMENTTrinity
Your Testament Trinity is all about why you should win this competition. Tell us what you've done to deserve a spot in this season's Holy Trinity!
Inside of the Testament Trinity should be a trinity of three different entries that show off your prowess, along with descriptions for each. However, writing besides those descriptions and speaking just generally is encouraged in your entry!
Both of these entries are due in my inbox only (Tymps.) by 10 PM EST on January 25th!
So, how will a winner be determined from these two entries? Here's a breakdown of what determines your placement in the finale:
FINALE SCORING
BREAKDOWN
Part I: Cumulative Averages
I've been keeping track of every contestant's average since the beginning of this game. To get your score for this component, I took your averages and divided by 2, then subtracted .1 for every appearance in the Golden Trinity you had. YOUR LOWEST SCORE WAS ALSO DROPPED! This is worth 20% of your finale score.
Part II: Contestant Voting
After your two entries for this round have been posted, any former contestant, no matter when they were eliminated (even if they quit!), can vote for the winners by ranking the finale contestant from 1st to 5th via PM to me, Tymps. If I receive less than 5 votes, this section will not count. This is worth 20% of your finale score.
Part III: Create-Your-Own Trinity
The Create-Your-Own Trinity will be judged like any normal round, and judges will rank you from 1st to 5th based on how well you did. This is worth 30% of your finale score.
Part IV: Judge's Pick
Judges will read your Testament Trinities, take into account how they felt you've performed this season subjectively, and rank the finale contestants from 1st to 5th in order of how strongly they feel that contestant should win. This is worth 30% of your finale score.
In the grand finale, special awards will be handed out, along with each of the judge's top 5 entries in the game (if I can actually get this to happen unlike last season). Then, all of these scores will be revealed one by one, leading up to the last posts where I'll reveal the Holy Trinity one by one!
Stay tuned to find out which three of the contestants will be crowned ATRL's Holy Trinity!
Also in case you caught before the edit I forgot that the lowest score from your average will be dropped. So if you flopped in Round 1 and had like a 17 average this is really good for you.
This is such an exciting finale. So much to think about.
Just curious, are we allowed to include our Create-your-own Trinity in our Testament trinity if we honestly consider it one of our best, or do we have to select from the 9 previous trinities?

I guess you could if you felt strongly that it represented something you want to showcase.
