You can't be serious with this.

There's quite a long list of various award shows that's mainly aimed and geared toward white audiences (VMAs, The Grammys, AMAs, The People's Choice Awards, etc.). What's wrong with a predominantly black network recognizing people of color? There's a Latin station/award show that does the same, too.
