I never really got the hate for Roar. I love it. I was so in love with it when it came out, it was my favourite song. I don't like it that much now, but still love it.
I genuinely think it's because of the music video. It'a a great music video, Katy looks her hottest in it but I think it does the song no justice. I personally expected something different. And it was honestly a downgrade, I mean, all the music videos from Teenage Dream ( minus POM probably ) were slightly better.
it's also so misleading and strange when she posted the dark~ teasers high jacking charli xcx's closet then comes back with something poppier and bright like roar l don't get it
true, her fault though for trying to make that song happen!
also the ema performance also hurts my ears I looavvvvve yoooaaawhwhwhwh so off key

Can't judge vocals on a recording with heavy distortions. It's almost like her haters altered the sound for anti-Katy propaganda reasons. She gets a bad rep on YouTube because of either people who don't know how to capture, compress and upload properly or the TV stations are awful at recording live performances.
To be fair, OMM is one of the highlights on Delirium. It's a pretty underwhelming album for all of the big name collaborators and WW support she made for herself with I Need Your Love > Burn > Outside > Love Me Like You Do. Just my opinion though.
OMM sounds/flows to me like having to hit the brakes every time I move a car length forward. It gave me such a bad impression of how her album would sound like.
Because the topic is brought up today and I have a ticket for her show in 3 weeks. I downloaded Delirium to check it out. I don't like that amount of hitting the brakes all over the album and it's difficult to survive listen to the entire album. And listen to Halcyon original 12 tracks, I notice what I'm missing. However Halsey and Lana are snatching me up.
