For whatever reason, country labels just don't seem to have a strong desire to push their acts at pop. As such, the format has remained quite isolated from the rest of the mainstream.

We haven't had a true country crossover since If I Die Young 4 years ago (I don't really count Cruise because it only took off after it got the Nelly remix)- and even it received a pop mix.
