Anybody that would really be upset over Taylor winning is dumb. She had the biggest album of the eligibility period. The Grammys haven't exactly been about awarding great music in a while now, so while Kendrick may have the "better" album in terms of quality, it wouldn't be shocking if he lost. Besides, if he won, it wouldn't be a shocking moment like BeckYonce or when Justin lost to the Esmerelda girl. So I really don't see it happening.
The "new black" concept is idiotic. Blacks expect everyone to think the same way, and when everyone isn't as wade-in-the-water minded, you're a "new black". Like sorry that others have more progressive and advanced mindsets.
I am not a wandering slave, I am a new-black of choice.
girl bye think what you want, just dont say no coon **** and there wont be no problem

Well considering there's like an entire population that hates Taylor Swift for being successful + white (not even just black people, but the dumb white SJWs who wanna fit in the Tumblrsphere), yeah she's gonna be bombarded with hate if she wins. Luckily that hate bandwagon will disappear by her next era, when Adele sweeps the GRAMMYs and everyone is tired of her and they go on to attacking her for being successful + white.
Taylor always wins tbh. & all this stuff I'm saying is true. Stop arguing it.
Kendrick has become the poster board for white people who don't listen to Rap to claim as their favorite rapper. I am sick of it. "My indie trinity is now complete, I can say I like The Beatles, Coldplay, and Kendrick Lamar since he's not like the other rappers on the radio and I wanna seem diverse". The way the critics gave him those A++'s knowing none of them have played his albums in the past 6 months.
Part of this is Kanye's fault though. He USE to be that token Rapper the critics loved, the indie's loved, was hailed a genius, and that was able to also be liked by Urban. Now he's ****ing up everything. Kanye was perfect, Kendrick is just ugh.
while this is all true its interesting how kanye was the one that took it all to his head and became humorless whereas kendrick can still inject some levity into his art without sacrificing any of the gravitas - something kanye did with his first 3 records

I'd say it is defensible. There is an accountability factor here. Walter, Trayvon, Tamir etc all died because of those cops and those cops alone. But there are seriously problems within the black community and it seems that the BLM movement along with others have pushed those issues to the wayside and fostered an environment where you're not allowed to bring them up. Like, in Chicago alone, there was an astronomical amount of shootings, primarily among black people. We can't ignore things like this and we shouldn't get mad when people point them out.

The image that has been pushed on it is, yes. But the origins had good intent. It was about not blaming other races for the issues that blacks face. Yes, racism, colonialism, segregation etc have had a major effect on the black community at large but if you're blaming your lack of success and the fact that you aren't a productive part of society on "the man", well...
