I heard Lush Life, and thought about Lean On [a trend that I hope that Katy doesn't chase cause it sounds like it'll age badly in the next 2 years], and was like, "WaiT lemme buy this". Then I heard Never Forget You which is and written by Zara.

Katy's team should include only Swedish people since Zara's album is great, Tove Lo's album is great, and we need Katy's album to sound great

You heard Lush Life before Never Forget You? They've only just started spinning Lush Life on radio, whereas NFY peaked a couple of months ago. LL was actually released (in Sweden) first but NFY was such a success here that they re-released it internationally.

And yeah mess, I think "Never Forget You" is the first song Zara's had a writing credit on. But Lush Life doesn't sound like Lean On, if anything the production is reminiscent of This Is How We Do.

She has some messy lyrics like the plastic bag and the unzip and strip ones, she uses a lot of clichés... but her lyrics speak directly to the listener and anyone can relate. Of course, several songs were written to be hits, but her more personal songs prove that she's a good lyricist with actual talent so y'all can stop saying "omg I wish she would hire songwriters" "her lyrics suck she ain't 13 no more" if you want your fave to write barely understandable lyrics with a dark meaning that only she can understand go stan for Edyta Górniak

Because it's opinions? Some actually want to step up her game. I don't know why it's a bad thing. It's not like we are complaining abut her songwriting 24/7.
