Its actually NOT my favourite Garbage song, in fact it would be #2.
But I gave it the little boost because in preparation for this rate I found myself coming back to it so often that I felt like I was connecting with it a little bit more. I think it has a really interesting, almost atmospheric feel to it, and its just SO late '90s which I love.
And with that, all of Paramore's early singles are out.
I personally felt this song was super catchy in all the right ways. However, I feel like they've really come into their own as a band and shown some incredible progression. Let's see where the other singles of theirs end up.
I wish this single was a lot higher though, i'm getting really good vibes as I listen to it.
It's interesting, I don't have that same nostalgic attachment to Paramore that a lot of people have. From what I remember they were still fairly popular here, but I guess they're just bigger in the U.S.?
Down Boy is great. I didn't expect much from a semi-random track but it exceeded all my expectaions (I have all of YYYs disco except this one).

I'm not from the US either, it's just that the Twilight wave was huge (this is how I came across them) and they had a sort of established worldwide fanbase before.
With the Garbage songs, even though I enjoy this, I feel like others would have fit better this close to the top 20. Its still a good song, but I can't believe they have the fewest songs left.
This song has a little bit of a twang to it that I love, but still rooted in a great punk style.

They've never actually been huge in the U.S. ("Ain't It Fun" was their first top ten hit.) ATRL always just really liked them, probably because they had a female lead singer and were super angsty.
