I watched monster in law while I was teleworking from home and it hit me.
yes, JLO is not a singer and yes at one point she let fame go to her head and serve diva like she was a real singer. that's the past.
JLO is a solid actor...like a bruce willis/mark wahlberg esque type thing.
They are not golden globe, emmy, oscar winning leveled actors.
Instead of focusing on doing so many romantic comedies (her strength) she NEEDED to do more work in TV.
Shades of blue plays to her strengths and had she done some of this in the 2000s she's probably have a golden globe and emmy (at least many nominations)
Her acting skill is limited but it could have been nurtured better to win a Globe at least.
JLO is just not the movie star I think she felt she could be.
She was one of those stars that was the Jen of all trades and master of very few.
however, just play to your strengths: fashion/beauty/tv and then add music/movies/all this other stuff...
She'd be even more powerful
