This is it. The Grand Finale. Everything you have worked for, every song, every rough draft, every scrapped entry, every late night struggling to think of ideas, has lead to this moment.
Congratulations to swiftie13, ClarksonSlays and Achilles., you are officially the Final 3 of Platinum Hit Season 8. You've bested short deadlines, many tests of skill, week after week of judge critiquing and most of all, 66 other contestants, the strongest competition of any Platinum Hit season ever.
But there is still one more round that stands between you and the title of ATRL's Platinum Hit Songwriter, one last challenge to put you to the ultimate test. But what could it be? How difficult will it be this season? Will we ask you to write 3 songs this week? How about 4? Perhaps you'll need to re-write some of your old songs, or submit your Top 3? Write a finale speech in song form? The possibilities are endless.

THE CORONATION CHALLENGE
It's time to write your coronation song; your winner's single!
Your grand finale challenge is to write your magnum opus. That's right, only one song stands between you and the title. No re-writes, no re-submissions, no triple challenge.
One song.
This has to be THE best song you've ever written. It can be about anything you want, anything in the world. It just has to be perfect, or as close to perfect as humanly possible. If you want to win this competition, nothing short of your absolute best will cut it. Therefore all of your focus for the next five days should be on this one song.
There will be a very special judging criteria for your finale entries which will be revealed at a later time. Keep in mind all of the skills and techniques we've used throughout the competition when writing your songs. Use what works, push the boundaries, edit and re-edit.
I have never even attempted to write a song about this subject matter. So not me, but I'm gonna pull through. My Long Live is coming
There isn't a specific subject matter; you can write about anything! Just make it amazing, whatever direction you choose to take. As finalists you should all have an idea of what you're best at, I'd suggest pursuing that!
There are many things to keep in mind for this challenge. You can take any avenue, so don't take the wrong one. You'll want to do what you do best, but you still want your song to feel unique and possibly show a side we haven't seen before.
But you can't do everything. I'm so excited to see what you all come up with.
That definitely won't cut it for the finale for me.
