In the last two years Doctor Luke produced
a lot of songs but I noticed that only three were top ten hits:
Pitbull's The Time of Our Lives (#9 - US / #27 - UK)
Maroon 5's Sugar (#2 - US / #7 - UK)
R. City's Locked Away (#6 - US / #2 - UK)
Only 'Sugar' was a real hit that actually sold more than two million copies. A lof the
songs that he produced in the last two years were singles but he only got ''three'' hits - notice that these songs are not original at all and they already sound dated.
Is Doctor Luke over?
I believe that Kesha exposing him to the public and the music industry is making relevant artists hesitant to work with him. Max Martin used to produce a lot of songs with him but they are not collaborating anymore. Add that to the fact that his songs are always unoriginal pop music with no soul and that the charts are less generic now.
