Yeah, it will probably peak in the top 10 but not get #1, what I was saying all along.
For future reference, if a song enters the pop radio top 50 and it's around #253 on iTunes, it's NOT going #1. No matter if it gets a music video, no matter how many TV performances it gets, no matter if his previous 2 singles went #1. It just doesn't happen like that.

Radio is not only the indicator though..Its not always accurate for future reference

I can also say right now that Drink You Away, Electric Love, Something In The Way You Move, Dessert and Youth are definitely NOT going #1 for exactly the same reason I said In The Night won't.
G-Eazy - Me, Myself & I looks like a song that potentially could get #1. Probably won't, but it's at least possible for that song. It's got little pop airplay so far but brilliant sales from it. That suggests a future big hit.

I'll remember this.

I'm judging off their sales (in relation to pop airplay) though. And yeah, it's not accurate honestly. My rule doesn't tell you if a song will peak at #5 or #40, so yes, it's not that accurate in that sense, but you can rule out #1 pretty early for a lot of songs using it. Songs that go to #1 MUST have good sales off a small bit of airplay. They always do.
If you can find me a #1 hit this decade (preferably since streaming was added) that wasn't top 100 on iTunes when it entered the top 50 on pop radio then I will admit I am wrong.

MM&I has excellent Spotify streaming. If it does well on pop and doesn't stall out on rhythmic, look out for it.

Nah never admit that you are wrong. It's absolutely correct what you are saying even if such a song were to exist.
I have the same feeling that smash hits respond very well to early and little airplay.

Yeah, I've seen some Selena fans say they think it will go #1. I think it's unlikely (I think I predicted #6 in a thread iirc), but it's certainly possible, it's off to a great start. Same with Love Yourself, Stressed Out, Me, Myself & I, or even Charlie Puth and Flo Rida's new singles, these are the sort of songs that might go #1, even though Love Yourself is the only one I'm more or less certain of atm.

WWWY is #17 without Bowie. It's just recovering from the weekend so don't rush to conclusions.
Anyway I doubt it's going to properly SMASH without some help.

+1
WWWY will likely not reach #1 on the Hot 100 without it being on Spotify. esp now that the Chart is Streaming influenced.

Yeah, though at this point it doesn't matter, it is #1 already but it is impressive that it will manage to stay above Hello when the latter was humongous and had a huge lead on it.

Yeah, the album sales and not being on streaming services may affect its chart run and peak.

well;
Hello: 3,85 million sold. off a 7,6 million selling album. (also second fastest ever to 300 million on spotify, barely beaten by Sorry).
Sorry: 1,7 million sold, off a 1,1 million Selling album.
i'm surprised it didn't pass earlier. no shade at all towards sorry, more like amazed at Hello's performance!

I wonder how high David Bowie's songs will chart ,some of them like Lazarus gained 10m views in one day and many others are gaining 1m views per 3hours
