A LOT of them have lost their credibility over the years. Idk if they're doing it for ratings, or if Gaga "paying for it" is actually a thing, but something isn't right.

But what if they all actually believe she deserved it?

We all know the "paying for awards" thing doesn't happen at shows like this (or the much more prestigious ones, since this isn't exactly a Nobel Prize). There could be ratings or other motives, but it's really entirely possible that they believed she deserved it, as crazy as that may sound to people who preferred the acting of her competition.

Acting is a much harder medium to assess and judge than others, in my opinion - it's very complex and often highly subjective.

Skyfall was the first James Bond movie to finally do well with AMPAS in half a century and they almost never award them Best Original Song - even when it is deserving. How many pop girls have actually ventured into acting... cable TV acting, at that? I'm not talking about pop girls. Stop thinking every point revolves around those useless *****s.

What I meant by the Golden Globes being the AMAs of acting awards is that it's just a night to clamor up a bunch of Hollywood stars and award the most popular or random ones, like the AMAs. It's not about substance or who acted the best. The Globes are to the Oscars what the AMAs are to the Grammys.
