I don't think it's the studio buying the award (But Ricky clocked that in the opening), but I do think it's clear the GG jump to stan for new & popular things.
True. There was absolutely NO reason Jeffrey Tambor, Transparent, Fargo, and Kirsten Dunst shouldn't have won. It's ridiculous
Jennifer Jason Leigh not winning her award proved tonight was going to be a travesty.
Then Jamie Lee Curtis didn't win, when she clearly deserved it.
And then Kirsten Dunst didn't win, when above all (Except for JJL), SHE deserved her win.
Fargo also should've won best show.
No, I don't think Gaga should have won, but I don't say that as a hater. I genuinely think her acting was too inconsistent & average on AHS to garner any awards. She had some great moments, but they still aren't deserving of the award. Kirsten should've gotten it.
The Revenant getting 3 awards, Taraji winning and The Martian getting 2 awards were the biggest travesties of the night. Other than those it was great.
I knew it as soon as I saw The Revenant and saw the other nominees. While, The Revenant may not be the best film, Leonardo's acting is clearly the best from the bunch.
